My current research focuses on parliamentary buildings and spaces, gender in legislatures, parliamentary governance, and the relationship between parliaments and the people.
Restoration and Renewal
I was awarded my PhD in 2019 by the University of Sheffield. My thesis was an examination of institutional change in the UK Parliament, focusing on the decision to approve a major rebuilding project - the Restoration and Renewal (R&R) of the Palace of Westminster. I continue to research and write about the progress of the R&R programme and am regularly asked to discuss the latest developments with parliamentarians and in the media, both in the UK and internationally.
